In movement meditations, I offer incentives for expanding ones thoughts and perception through a state I call embodied thinking. As an entrance into embodied awareness, I often invite the participants to hum, and to send sound and vibration with the help of their awareness and imagination throughout their bodies and into their surroundings, in search of resonance.
Sound artist and musician Jean P‘Ark prerecorded me humming Solfeggio frequencies to built them into their set for the first participative performances on embodied thinking I offered in public, which featured live soundscapes on a public square in Berlin in 2021.
Almost three years later, I assembled these hummed Solfeggio frequencies into a rising cascade that slightly challenges auditory perception patterns, and use this as a background, for instance for embodied thinking labs that I offered during an artistic exchange weekend in Oderberg, Brandenburg, and for an audio performance in front of a seated audience at Hydro in the framework of „Ways of Becoming“, the 25th anniversary celebration of the UNIDEE prgram at Cittadelarte — Fondazione Pistoletto.
You can hear the recording of a first sketch of this somatic meditation for a seated audience in a cinema.
